Backup compressors - Love is in the ‘air’

Love is in the ‘air’ ❤️

Having a back-up compressor can be an invaluable asset to a dental practice. In the event your compressor stops working nearly all ability to carry out treatment is lost. Most dental chairs have ‘air electric’ switches to power up and if there is insufficient air pressure to the surgery they will not work, in turn the handpieces won’t work and even the suction may not switch on.

Furthermore when maintenance is required you may incur downtime or have to book it around training etc.

A backup compressor can be connected to your main compressed air system with a manifold or with isolation valves so it can be as simple as turning a valve to switch over the air supply.

Pictured above, dencomp’s back-up compressor utilises the same oil-less high performance pump and 4-pole motors as their main compressors with the added benefit of being very small and portable.

Due to the 15 litre tank the PSSR 2000 regulations may not apply as the pressure volume is less than 250 bar litres further saving you costs.
